Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission oversees the operation of the City’s Civil Service system by ensuring fairness and efficiency. The commission shall hold regular meetings at least once a month on a day prescribed by the Rules. Special meetings shall be held as required for the proper discharge of the duties of the commission, due notice having been given. It shall be the duty of the commission to recommend to City Council the adoption of rules for the administration of Civil Service provisions and to investigate matters concerning the enforcement and effect of the Civil Service provisions. In addition, the commission shall hear and determine appeals and complaints and oversee the Civil Service provisions.
Meetings are held the fourth Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
